Source Policy

We prioritize primary sources and rank all sourcing in four tiers:

Tier 1: Primary

The White House, Federal Register, Congress.gov, federal courts, the Department of Justice, federal agencies, the FEC, official transcripts, and Trump's own published statements and posts.

Tier 2: Wire services and major outlets

Reuters, the Associated Press, major national newspapers, and established investigative outlets.

Tier 3: Other credible reporting

Credible outlets and reference works that cite their own sources.

Tier 4: Unverified

Social media and unverified reports. Tier 4 material is never the sole basis for a factual claim on this site.
